From Denver Airport, passengers have the following transport options to get to downtown Denver and other locations around:

Denver airport to city centre

Best option to city centre is taxi or transfer. 


Bus

There are lots of different bus routes from Denver Airport.

RTD 169L

This route is provided by public transportation bus service (RTD).
It is the bus most used for passengers wanting to get to downtown Denver. 

Service hours: It operates from 3:30am to 00:00am. Buses frequency every 15 minutes. 
The bus station is located at the DEN Transit Center, first level, adjacent to Denver International Airport.

Fares

Ticket is $10.50 and it is a one day pass.

The Regional Transportation District (RTD), a part of 169L route, offers the following bus routes to different locations around Denver: 

Route AB - AB/AB1

It covers the route between Boulder and Denver Airport.

Service hours

RTD bus service operates from approximately 3:30am to 00.00am.
Buses depart every 15 minutes approximately during peak hours.

Location

The bus station is located at the DEN Transit Center, first level, adjacent to Denver International Airport.
The DEN Transit Center can be accessed at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal.

Fares

Ticket is $10.50 and it is a one day pass.

Where do I buy my ticket?

Passengers should purchase their ticket at the vending machines available at both DEN Transit Center and Denver International Airport.

On the other hand, they are also available at the RTD Information Booth.

Hotel Shuttles

Lots of hotels around Denver International Airport offer shuttles to transfer from the Airport. We recommend to check with your hotel first if that option is available.

To pick-up that services, go to Terminal Level 5, island 1. Doors 511-513 (east side) and 504-506 (west side).

Taxi

From Denver Airport, you can take a taxi and get to downtown within 30 minutes.

Please bear in mind that transfer times could vary depending on traffic conditions.

Stop Location

Pick-up and drop-off taxi areas at Denver Airport are located at Island 1, outside Doors 505, 507 and 511 (Terminal East), and Doors 506, 510 and 512 (Terminal West).

Metered Taxicab Rates

Fares to all other metro area destinations are based on the taxicab’s meter.
The flat rate from Denver Airport may be increased by $5 for each additional drop within a zone, if taxi is shared.

Shared Rides

Lyft and Uber offer transportation options to and from Denver Airport. Passengers need to download first the application to the smartphone in order to ask for a car.

Train

Denver Airport has direct train connection with downtown Denver.

RTD (Regional Transportation District’s) “University of Colorado A-Line” provides rail transportation to and from the airport.

A-Line commuter train 

Runs a distance of 23 miles between Denver Airport and downtown’s Denver Union Station.

Travel time is about 35 to 40 minutes and trains depart every 15 minutes (during peak hours) and every 30 minutes from 03:00am to 05:00am and 06:30pm to 01:00am).

The central area of the Airport houses two security screening areas and exits from the underground train system.

Fares

Denver Airport fare is $10.50 per day from any of the stations along the A Line and includes unlimited rides on the A Line as well as the entire RTD Light Rail system during a single business day.
